The Our Lady of Armenia Youth Center in Yerevan

 

 

Education is one of the fundamental human rights and, at the same time, it is one of the most important components of human capital and a key precondition for avoiding poverty. 

 

According to the “Social Snapshot and Poverty in Armenia, 2012” report, the incidence of general poverty grew by 1.61 percentage points.  In 2011, more than one third (35%) of the population were poor, 19.9% were very poor and 3.7% were extremely poor. 

 

The Center will allow orphans and disadvantaged students as well as economically-disadvantaged students with high academic standing from different regions of Armenia the opportunity to pursue their higher education in Yerevan.
